On Sunday 14 April 2024, the Viking Saturn docked in Amsterdam for the first time. Traditionally, there was a Plaque & Key ceremony on board the ship; the moment when Amsterdam hands over the ‘key’ of the city to the ship, in exchange for a plaque. Besides the plaque, the captain received a gift; the book Between the Sea & the Sky by Jimmy Nelson in which he portrays 20 communities in traditional costume. A great book for the ship’s library. For CPA, it was also the first maiden call this year.
