On Wednesday the 28th of August the luxury yacht Dumont d’Urville will dock in Amsterdam for the first time. This yacht is a sister ship of Le Champlain, le Lapérouse and le Bougainville. All yachts are equipped with environmentally friendly technology of the latest standards and are characterized by a modern and elegant design. The ship has 184 passengers, is 131 meters long and counts 9 decks. She will moor at PTA at 7 a.m. and leave the following day at 3 p.m.

The name Dumont d’Urville comes from the French navigator and polar explorer Jules-Sébastien-César Dumont d’Urville who traveled to different parts of the world. The ships of the Ponant Explorers class go on cruises around the world and enable passengers to explore the world in the way of French explorers.
