You can stop briefly in front of the main entrance of the terminal to let passengers alight. And it is of course nice to wave them goodbye!
This is possible from the Promenade Deck on the third floor of the terminal. From here you can see the ship (in most cases). It is not possible to go on board, since that is customs area.
In the surroundings you will find a few restaurants, some of which are closed on weekends. There is no restaurant in the terminal itself. Possible locations are: Ipo’s Coffee Gallery (closed on weekends), Subway, Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center and
Grand Café 4’33
For a smooth pick-up process we advise you to park your car in a nearby garage. The exact time of disembarkation is difficult to estimate, since this often happens in phases. Stay in contact with the passengers to find out the exact time. To make it easier to find eachother, meet at “meeting point” on the corner of the street in front of the terminal.
