The Vasco da Gama was built in 1993, was thoroughly renovated in 2015 and was also modernised again in 2017 and 2021. What is very special about the Vasco da Gama is that dialysis patients can also travel with it thanks to its own dialysis station, enabling appropriate care to be provided. The ship is 219 metres long and 31 metres wide and has 630 cabins spread over five decks. There are five restaurants, five lounge bars, a pool bar and a wine bar. There is also plenty of entertainment and sports on offer. Hollywood’s show lounge impressively stretches over two decks and offers evening entertainment with its own show ensemble. On the upper deck, the marine-themed observation lounge Dome impresses and turns into a bustling nightclub in the evening. The central atrium offers a shopping arcade, photo shop and excursion office spread over three decks. A casino and card game room, a library and a cinema complete the offer. There is a spa, fitness centre, jogging track, tennis court, sports field, swimming pool and jacuzzi.
This cruise ship was in Amsterdam on Wednesday 25 May 2022.
