The Volendam is a medium-sized ship built in 1999 and has been renovated several times. The ship is the second from the R-class. The Volendam can accommodate 1,432 passengers. The ship has a colourful flower theme, which can be found throughout the entire ship. Ranging from huge vases full of beautiful flower arrangements to floral fabrics and tapestries. Passengers can enjoy the graceful look through the wide teak decks, stylish dining rooms and spacious cabins. There are several restaurants on board, including Pinnacle Grill for grill specialities, Italian restaurant Canaletto, buffet restaurant Lido Market and a burger restaurant the Dive-In. There are two swimming pools on board, a spa and jacuzzi as well as a fitnerss centre, basketball court and tennis perch. Live cooking shows, cooking workshops are held. Various wines can be tasted at the Winetasting Bar. Casino, theatre, various shops and a kids’ club are also available.
