Norwegian Cruise Line introduced the Norwegian Dawn in October 2002. This 4-star beauty can be recognized by the grotesque Statue of Liberty painted on the side of the ship. The Norwegian Dawn is designed for the renowned “Freestyle Cruising” for which the Nowegian Cruise Line is known. This means that you get a lot more freedom than you would usually expect from a cruise. For example, a tuxedo or evening dress is not mandatory and you can decide for yourself where, when and with whom you dine. There is a choice of 13 different restaurants with various themes. There is an Asian, French and Italian cuisine. Afterwards you have the option to continue the evening in one of the nine bars and lounges. The “Top of the Crown” observation deck is highly recommended if you want to enjoy a beautiful view around the ship. From here you can see the 3 swimming pools, including a T-Rex children’s pool, as well as the golf course and basketball court.
